The Brief

HMV required a team building activity for 110 guests after their conference. The objective was to bring together, unite and demonstrate the benefits of working as a cohesive team.

The Solution

Drumming provides an unusual and stimulating experiential learning opportunity for which everyone regardless of age, fitness level or disability can participate in.

Starting with a demonstration from the facilitators where guests can not believe they could ever sound as good let alone in 3 hrs.  Guests are then split into smaller groups to learn the basic skills and rhythms before being brought back together to rehearse for the finale.  Each participant is provided with a drum and throughout the activity learns a series of different skills including listening, communication, focus, patience and concentration.

The end result is that although each individual can sound good on their own, as a group they sound great and can produce a truly powerful performance.
