A venue with a sparkle that goes beyond the chandeliers

This month we were fortunate enough to be given the six star treatment at one of London’s most exclusive and luxurious hotels – The Lanesborough. Our experience began the moment we were escorted out of our car and guided through the imposing entrance; the sparkling chandeliers and warm mahogany furniture captures the feeling of being greeted ‘as honored guests within a private home.’ On arrival we were greeted by Annie Chang and taken through to the Library Bar where we indulged in champagne and canapés to the accompaniment of a live pianist.  To be assured of the property’s full offering we were taken on a comprehensive show round which revealed elegant bedrooms and grand event spaces. The Lanesborough prides itself on its guest driven staff members and this was evident, along with creating a home from home environment the hotel offers the highest levels of service which extends to a personal butler for every guest during their stay.  

After the show around we were taken to the recently launched Apsleys restaurant where we were greeted by very welcoming staff. The restaurant has a luxurious yet contemporary feel and offers a modern Italian menu with an emphasis on fresh, simple ingredients. We enjoyed a delicious three course meal matched perfectly with wine picked by a charismatic Sommelier. 

Our experience at the Lanesborough has given us a lasting impression of a gracious, hospitable and welcoming venue with an extremely capable team who are genuinely proud of being part of this prestigious property.

Our launch pad to your success!

The core of our business is the delivery of a complete conference and event management service to both public and private sector clients. Encouraging unity through rhythms

The Finishing Touch recently held a drumming event at Ardencote Manor Hotel in conjunction with leading high street retailer HMV.  After the morning conference the aim was to inspire and energise delegates for the afternoon session as well as act as an ice-breaker to allow delegates to communicate effortlessly throughout the day.  Our preferred supplier Drumpulse, have a passionate approach, through drumming and creative activities to inspire business.

Delegates walk in, find an instrument on their chair and within seconds are under the influence of their high energy Drumpulse team. Nothing lifts the energy of a corporate event like being part of a powerful drum orchestra.

New additions to the team

The Finishing Touch is very pleased to welcome Elizabeth Barnett to the TDA team as an Events Assistant.  Our youngest addition, Elizabeth has recently graduated from Southampton Solent University in Tourism Management and was keen to start working in the events industry. Elizabeth is looking forward to “working in a fun and fast paced environment and building relationships with both clients and venues.” 

Also, due to the success of our recently launched venue search only division we have expanded the team and are happy to welcome Katherine Prince as our new Venue Find Assistant. Katherine has spent the last six years as a Manager at a prestigious night club in Windsor and is “looking forward to working with more diverse groups of venues to ensure she can negotiate the best rates and meet her client’s briefs.”
