Our first newsletter of 2007 will be released at the start of February Until then please enjoy a quick reminder of some of the highlights of a very busy 2006. On the Move 2006 began with a tearful farewell as we left our home of six years in East Sheen and headed north to First Artist’s Head Office at Wembley. With further space, dedicated meeting rooms and the support of the parent company, the foundations were laid for a very exciting and successful year. Lord Coe Joins The Finishing Touch The Finishing Touch signed an agreement with The Complete Leisure Group PLC to form a Limited Liability Partnership called Sports Events LLP, with Lord Coe. Under the agreement, Sports Events LLP, is jointly owned between the two companies, focusing on generating additional events with in the sporting world. Summer at Hogwarts Wrapping up a busy summer of parties and events, we ended the season with a spectacular Summer Ball at Alnwick Castle, in Northumberland. Famously known as Hogwarts in the first two Harry Potter films, dinner and entertainment were staged in a stunning clear fronted Marquee structure allowing guests dramatic views of the Castle. We Have the Need for Speed TFT delivered a series of conferences for Retail Store Managers around the country, providing the first glimpse of the amazing ‘Need for Speed’ game that has since become one of the best selling games over Christmas. Each venue was designed to provide an instant feel for the product, with tables replaced by branded oil drums, staging blending into a roadside, and moving headlights all combined with sound effects to complete the experience of living and breathing the ‘Need for Speed’ experience. An Audience with The President In September, former President Bill Clinton delivered his keynote speech to a high profile audience at London’s Royal Albert Hall. The Finishing Touch provided professional and creative advice throughout the build up to the event along with total event management on the day itself. Seasonal Festivities Over 20,000 people enjoyed the seasonal festivities at a vast range of venues managed by TFT during December. The highlight was unquestionably Studio 54 in Battersea Park where the 1970’s was recreated in a style never seen before in London. December 2006 proved to be the busiest and most successful month TFT have experienced in seventeen years. |
