Masquerade Magic
The Finishing Touch held an exclusive and lavish masquerade ball at Gibson Hall in London. The venue was transformed into a stunning Venetian setting; striking floral decorations, dramatic lighting, stone plinths and balastrades transformed this already beautiful venue into something extra unique and special. Trays of champagne welcomed the 200 guests who were given magnificent eye masks on arrival before the doors opened to reveal a spectacular setting for dinner. A fabulous meal was enjoyed whilst the guests were entertained by light jugglers, a contortionist and the Tenors Incognito. With the stone dance floor acting as the room's focal point, the environment was perfect for the guests to dance the night away and dance they did!

The Finishing Touch would like to thank De Vere West One for hosting the team's risk assessment training. The recently re-launched venue is perfectly located in London's West One, just off Oxford Street. Bathed in natural daylight with floor to ceiling windows, the space used was ideal for an intense day of training. The venue's contemporary spaces include 24 multi-sized meeting rooms, 11 computer based training rooms and an outdoor patio space with the capacity for 60 people. Significant investment has ensured well designed modern facilities, break-out areas offering a continuous supply of complimentary refreshments, and free internet access throughout. The team enjoyed an excellent lunch in the new award winning 'Steam Bake & Grill', a contemporary restaurant which offers a delicious and varied range of healthy foods.
Welcome Lisa Ryan to The Finishing Touch
We are delighted to welcome Lisa Ryan as Account Director to The Finishing Touch team. Lisa's impressive career began 15 years ago managing The Chelsea Flower Show and Hampton Court Exhibitions. She has since worked with an exciting list of national and international clients at American Express Corporate Groups and Events and most recently at Euro RSCG Skybridge, where she led and managed the Jaguar Land Rover Team. Lisa's wide knowledge and expertise encompasses building client and supplier relationships, RFI and RFP submissions, service and operational delivery for multifaceted projects inclusive of communication plans and developing KPIs in conjunction with the clients brand alignments. Lisa looks forward to sharing her 'knowledge and expertise with the team and working on exciting new projects.'
Making Work A Pleasure
The Senior Management team of a global oil company from various locations in Europe convened at the elegant 5* Chancery Court Hotel for a two day meeting. With its breathtaking marble and architectural features this historic landmark building was the perfect location for the high profile group to present and forecast on the forthcoming year. Following an intense first day of meetings, the group relaxed together during a cooking class, an activity which tapped into their love of cookery and fine dining. Having prepared a meal of pasta bonbons, salmon wellington and pavlova, guests enjoyed a wine tasting session before being served the meal they had carefully prepared, with wine to compliment; another satisfied group!

Since winning Silver in the 'Best New Event' category at the recent Eventia Awards, The Finishing Touch have completed Debenhams latest visit to Portman Square Gardens, launching their Spring/Summer 2009 collection. Responsible for all organisation, from venue logistics to catering, our usual high standard did not go unnoticed; Ed Watson, Debenhams Head of PR, commented, 'It's important to create truly bespoke press show events to showcase the best we have to offer.
